Here’s a recap of what we happened previous week at Shardeum:

Tech

Last week, we debugged, fixed bugs and tested to prepare for sharded support in Liberty 2.0. We worked on a huge tech upgrade – the “Execute in single shard” (EXSS) feature, and were able to fix enough issues to get it working well for coin and token transfers; we tested token transfer transactions in a sharded network with/without EXSS. We also figured out specifications and tasks for the next level of debug app tech for sharded debugging, worked and tested on archiver support for the sharded network, and implemented major status code with backward compatible approach within transaction injection returns object. We researched wallet implementations and took a brief look at underlying cryptographic mechanisms. Also, we worked on several documentation tasks including reviewing and updating the developer section of documentation, publishing a guide to minting ERC20 tokens as well as minting NFTs (ERC721). We continue to interview folks for our development team.

Business

We’re in the process of setting up an Indian subsidiary of the Shardeum foundation. Meanwhile, we continue to onboard and engage with investors from the Shardeum seed round.

Marketing & Comms

Last week, we conducted a tech webinar with Shailesh on the topic “How to build a dApp”, published webinar videos on YouTube and worked on creating new videos on Sharding and related topics. We also prepared a draft agenda for the IRL event during hackathon kickoff. We continue to make improvements on agenda, and get quotes and venue plans from event vendors. We’re working on a plan to diversify Shardeum communities across various languages. We also onboarded a new vendor of design as well, worked on a hackathon consultant evaluation, and worked on some business development initiatives.
